Ankit Upadhyay is a Delhi-based guitarist and a vocalist who is passionate about music, since childhood. He has been in love with his&nbsp;guitar&nbsp;ever since&nbsp;he&nbsp;started&nbsp;playing music. He&nbsp;takes&nbsp;private classes&nbsp;of&nbsp;guitar,&nbsp;and is also&nbsp;among&nbsp;the faculty at the&nbsp;Tansen&nbsp;Sangeet Mahavidyalaya, New&nbsp;Delhi.&nbsp;He is also learning&nbsp;sitar&nbsp;from&nbsp;Gandharva&nbsp;Mahavidyalaya,&nbsp;New Delhi. Ankit&nbsp;started his vocal training back in 2009, from Pradeep Advani Institute of Performing Arts (PAIPA). He took up the guitar when he entered college&nbsp;in 2010, and began practicing from YouTube tutorials. He grasped the basics of guitar-playing so quickly that he got appointed as the substitute guitar teacher &ndash; teaching basics to newbies, at PAIPA. By 2012, Ankit turned out to be a self-taught acoustic guitarist. It was the time when he decided to explore more, and thus he got his fingers on the electric guitars. In 2013, Ankit joined the Parikrama School of Music to undergo training in electric guitar, and has been learning there, since then. He is currently getting training from the famous guitarist of Parikrama band &ndash; Sonam Sherpa. Ankit Upadhyay has performed with the Delhi-based band&nbsp;Yuva&nbsp;Beats, at&nbsp;Delhi&nbsp;University&nbsp;in 2013.&nbsp;He has also performed as the lead guitarist in the&nbsp;Najafgarh&nbsp;Concert. He has been playing&nbsp;with his bands in lots of campus events. Currently,&nbsp;Ankit&nbsp;is the lead guitarist of the Delhi-based band&nbsp;Ruhaani, and also guitarist/lead vocalist of the band&nbsp;Jamarune.
