Born on 26 August 1987 in Shimla, Rubina Dilaik dreamed of becoming an IAS officer before entering the acting world with Chotti Bahu in 2008, landing the role of Radhika Shastri. Her early TV roles in shows like Jeannie Aur Juju, Saas Bina Sasural, and Devon Ke Dev… Mahadev solidified her career.Her defining breakthrough came with the Colors TV drama Shakti – Astitva Ke Ehsaas Ki (2016–2021), portraying Soumya, a transgender woman. The role won her the ITA Best Actress (Drama) award in 2016 and the Golden Petal Award for Personality in 2017, elevating her stature in television.In 2020, Rubina entered Bigg Boss 14 with dignity, staying 20 weeks and emerging as the winner in early 2021, and winning a ₹36 lakh prize.
